The first image I will analyze is entitled Giantboy ' It is a surreal

image of a large naked body floating as large blue bubbles swim all around it . It is

slowly sailing across pale white-ridged sand . The body is floating over two small figures

watching as the huge body floats passed . The small images are of a man and a figure

standing on the sand as large blue bubbles float all around them . The whole scene takes

place underwater in a

surreal scene that is geometrically organized . The floating body

placement catches the eyes first and leads them to the two figures below the body

The body is androgynous . You can 't tell whether it is the body of a man

or woman or if the figure below is a man or woman . It is only a figure looking straight

ahead at nothing . It isn 't looking up at the naked floating body . The image is a scene

from a dream of the artist . He or she is having an extensional moment watching

themselves floating above moving slightly away little by little to somewhere else . The

floating object is almost magical as it looks as if it is floating on air and not underwater

The image is dramatic and thought provoking It evokes the sense of

not being in control . The half shown naked body is riding freely on the current without

control as the person below only watches . He or she can 't stop or pull the body back

because it is too high for it to reach . It describes the unreachable goals you encounter in

life be it at work or personal relationships

The second image I will critique is entitled Space ' It is more

geometrically organized then the first image . All shapes such as squares , rectangles

circles , and ovals are found in the image against a tall wall . The shapes are formed into

chairs stairs doors draws and benches all scattered all around the image forming a kind of Critique Essay My Art Work

Pg .2 secret room as if we are looking into the secret room in the mind of the artist

Some of the squares and circles are opened to probe deeper into the

mind or let in more information while some are closed to closer introspection . There is a

set of stairs and a bridge leading down to somewhere and across somewhere . Where the

set of stairs and the bridge lead to be the observer 's guess . As in life the stairs and bridge

can lead to nothing or somewhere . It is the observer to decide the outcome in life

The third image I am will critique is entitled Theater ' It is a more

introspective image looking into the mind of the artist . The image is dreamlike like the

first , except the image takes place above ground , through a half opened lipstick pink

curtain . The curtain opens through a tunnel where we see a person and a...
