critical analysis of behavior
For this project , I am going to try to describe and analyze my habit of procrastinating . It is a source of excitement for me as well as a way of life , as I will argue (eventually , of course . On the one hand my procrastination stems from the fact that I work well and am at my most productive when faced with a tight time that I have something to get done , I half-heartedly tell myself that I am going to set a strict schedule and break the project down into parts so that I

am left not having to accomplish everything in one last mad rush to the finish line . This has yet to happen for reasons that I will try to explain with this essay
At the height of my procrastination , I used to excuse my practice and explain it to friends and family through one of my favorite quotes by Mark Twain : Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow ' This always drew a laugh , albeit one that would normally accompany a roll of the eyes . I was almost proud of my ability to push schoolwork , chores , phone calls , anything , off until the last minute .and get away with it
