Community is defined as a social organization made of a group of people who share common practices and beliefs . As a group of people , community interest surpasses the interests of individual members . As a consequence therefore , any deviation from the cultural and social standards set by the community is branded as a crime

Community crime prevention is the establishment of initiatives aimed at eliminating risk factors which can contribute to the participation of individual members
