The course has been very educative and enjoyable particularly when one learns that the success in the supply chain management needs the change from handling individual functions into key supply chain processes that involves collaboration between the buyers and the suppliers , the joint

product development , the common systems and the sharing of information among the stakeholders . One also learns that operating an integrated chain of supply requires continuous flow of information between the firm and its customers and the suppliers

One can improve this course by introducing the key supply chains processes like the customer relationship management and the demand management to ensure that the customer needs are well provided

Customer service management should also be taught to enable learners to understand how to handle customers with care . Another vital key area is returns management whereby the company ascertains its own return by employing the use of the supply chain management . The product development and commercialization also need to be dealt with in this course , which enable managers to develop market oriented products . The procurement system also should be introduced that allow managers to shop for the material that meet their requirement specifications
