Spearheading a family is a difficult task comprising streams of selfless love , which in turn requires time and effort , as well as money . While the affluence of middle class parents helps them immensely in fulfilling their responsibilities in addressing the psychological , economic and socio progressive needs of their households , it is the low income and working poor strata of society that suffers immensely in overcoming family challenges

However , many western countries , including the United States

, are fortunate in this case as their governments are financially stable to provide welfare support to their low income and working poor citizens The problem , however , is that much of this state aid , if in monetary terms , makes people get hooked on it without actively seeking to work and pulling themselves out of their misfortune . Whereby governments have now countered this problem through welfare to work programs focusing on stress reducing factors to help parents meet family challenges , the design element of these programs have important considerations when evaluating whether these are meeting their goals or not as this evaluation can help with correcting current programs and making policy initiatives
