America has always been a country that has been envisioned by people from all over the world as a land of opportunities and new beginnings The foundation of the country is mainly built on the migration that happened centuries ago . The European settlers came in to the land by the seventeenth

century and started their own colonies based on their ideologies of religion , social equality and governance . The three main colonies were New England colonies , Southern colonies and Middle Colonies . The lives led in these colonies were of very different nature as there were differences in flora and fauna along with the nesting of diverse ideologies

Comparison of life of people in Maryland and New England colonies

If similarities have to be drawn between the life in Maryland and New England colonies , then the very primary thing is both comprised of European settlers . During the settlements it was seen that people from both the colonies did a lot of farming on untilled land . Transportation has also has its share of similarities , as both the sections of the society relied heavily on foot , horses and horse carriages for a very long time . Because of this sluggish form of transportation the gap between these colonies amassed into differences as traveling from place or rather from one colony to other was really cumbersome and dangerous then . One thing common between Maryland and the colonies of New England was their medical practice . The doctor 's education consisted of long years with physicians , and these people were considered of high values in the colonies . The era being technologically backward , any cure of any disease would be dictated by the doctor 's word

The concept of the existence of these colonies had a lot of religious influence . The New England colonies were built on the lines extreme religion and Maryland had a lot of religious tolerance . After Massachusetts , which followed religion very seriously two other colonies New Hampshire and Rhode Island had a religious ideology similar to Maryland , where they were serious for religion but also had a lot of patience and tolerance for it too

Contrasts in life of people in Maryland and New England colonies

There are more contrasts than similarities between the colonies of New England and Maryland . The New England first colony followed a strict religious system and was inhabitants who followed it were known as `Puritans . Maryland basic ideology was of a lot of difference and great amount of religious tolerance could be seen in it . The officials of the church were measured people of the state and were considered to be the most respectable people in the society . In Maryland however the officials of the church were often not looked upon as representatives of God and were not much valued as they were in Massachusetts . The New England...
