NAME COURSE TUTOR DATE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DIRECT INSTRUCTIONS Every student should understand a basic code of conduct . This code involves dress , lateness , preparation , respect , and behaviors during participation in class , which include respecting staying in seats during class sessions unless asked otherwise and rising hands as a request for participation Goals Main goal should be to avoid loss of instructional time especially among hype active , young or new students Code of conduct makes students respect and appreciate teachers instructional time Examples of Rules

p Rule 1 : Breaking a rule or any behaviour that takes the teachers attention away from teaching results in being given a "point " on a chart . When students do misbehave automatically they are rewarded with a point . If a child hurts another child , that is an automatic 5 points
Rule 2 : Breaking the rules is rewarded with lunch hour detention which is half of the lunchtime . This time is spent designing the code of rules on a plain for example block-printing the rules . If the task is not completed within the time , then the procedure continues the following day . The best design is hanged in class
The waste of the students ' time serves as an example that the students time is as valuable as the teachers ' instructional time
Consequences
If a student has less than 5 points at the end of the week , that student gets a small treat like a jolly rancher and a special 10 minute recess at the end of the day on Friday
On the second scenario , the student does not have to stay after school for detention . The students must get half of their lunchtime and eat fast
Reinforcement
This is found to cuts down on nagging . I guess for a more positive angle one can give the students 5 points and take away one when students demonstrate desirable behavior . Even annoying behavior such as forgetting to put a name on a can be corrected by having dynamic rules say if repeated three times and it is one point and so on
COOPERATIVE WORK (GROUP WORK
Cooperation is very essential for the learning process . It is not important how much content has been covered or the learners have memorized . The focus is on interaction , observation , and experiments in to prove assertions true and gain extra knowledge outside the course work
Learners get to know how to build rapport , ask questions , discover and wonder about how nature works . By actively participating in groups they find learning pleasant and stimulating . They also get to feel motivated and desire to know more . It also teaches them how to sequence information accurately (fast , next or then
Rules
A good class is not the one where the teacher gives instructions only and the learners work silently . They should also be given the opportunity to question , discuss , describe , explain and argue
To develop the speaking skills , the teacher asks open-ended questions that are not answer by a single or few words but need an explanation...
