Most often the grown-up individual is created by his childhood Psychology would prove that traumas in childhood have lasting effects to the personality of the person and if one needs to change something in one 's personality , one needs to resolve the conflict from years passed that made him into what he has become . In the classic film Citizen Kane one episode in the childhood of its main character , Charles Foster Kane forever haunts him

throughout his life so that his actions as a grown-up , and even through his senior years , can be described as attempts to compensate for the loss he suffered as a child

In a flashback scene told in the movie by Kane 's now deceased guardian Mr . Walter Parks Thatcher , through a series of journal accounts , the viewer learns how Kane was forcibly separated from his parents at a very young age . He had a normal small-town childhood until that winter day when he is taken away crying and trashing , to live under the care of Mr Thatcher , her mother 's banker . Mrs . Kane suddenly finds herself wealthy when the stock her former boarding house tenant paid in lieu of rent money turns out to be profitable . She sends her son away to keep Charles from his abusive father and to provide him with the best opportunities that her newfound wealth could afford

Unfortunately , as a result of this incident , Kane grows...
