Life is not always a joy ride . It can be quite bumpy . Sometimes it can make me feel high , but during other times , it can give me the blues During those times , I think about the happy moments when I was a child My most precious childhood memory was the time when I received a puppy for my birthday because I learned to be responsible , I learned

how to love other creatures and I learned how to value life and the world we live in

My puppy was a Golden Retriever named Spark that taught me how to be responsible . My parents told me that I was completely responsible for its well-being . I had to feed her and bathe her . I also had to make sure that Spark did not urinate , defecate or destroy anything inside the house . Moreover , I had to regularly walk with her to the park to make sure that she had proper exercise

Because we were always together , I felt a bond with Spark . Unlike my parents , she did not scold me , ground me or ask me to do anything that I did not want . When I came home everyday from school , she would wag her tail and bark to greet me . She did not care about who was the most popular person in school or what marks I just received . Money did not matter...
