With the advent of new technology and media , it has become easier for the celebrity world to invade the homes and assert their influence over the lives of private individuals . Almost every home has a television set , a computer , a radio , or a news delivery by which they are able to receive news about what happened yesterday , what happens today , and what will happen tomorrow or in

the coming days . This situation has become the norm that a handful of people are influenced , directly or indirectly , by celebrities and some are even constantly updated on the lives and whereabouts of these celebrities

From a personal stanpoint , two of the most influential and controversial female celebrities today are Britney Spears and Paris Hilton . They have lived lives uner the suspicious and unwavering eyes of the media that has enabled people to know about their private , which has become very public , lives . The show that they stage for the viewers cause the extensive influene they have over the lives of many individuals

First , these two celebrities are able to make their presence felt in everyday living . Fashion may be seen as a form of a collective movement of a society . Though it comes in the form of a fad , or a short-lived phenomenon , these two celebrities are still able to set the standards from which they are able to create their own image and make duplicates of such in other people who follow the craze . With the spread of the fashion ideas presented by these celebrities , they are able to set themselves as the standards of fashion at different times of the year

Second , they appear in television commercials and advertisements that reach millions of people worldwide . The products which these celebrities endorese go on a global scale that makes them be felt in more areas outside the bounds of America . An example of which is the Toyota Vios which was endorsed by Britney Spears has reached several countries as the good being showcased will likewise cater to a larger market . In addition to this are the elements of advertisement that uses a multi-disciplinary approach in persuading or influencing people to adhere to certain set of values , products , or services

Third , the general image of having a life lived in luxurious settings appeals to people in a greater sense . These celebrities are able to establish themselves as people who live a very , sometimes unbelievably luxurious life . Media is able to cover most of the tiniest facts about how they splurge on things and activities that make how they live their lives stand out from among the ordinary people . The difference in how they lived their lives makes them unique and interesting that many people think of how they could possibly stand out from everyone else
