During the governance of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi (1925-1979 ) in Iran the economy has been having a good run because of the oil demand in the world , but despite this positive fact , there was much opposition against the Shah 's administration in the government

Ayatollah Khomeini , the leader of the opposition has lived in Iraq , and then was moved to France . He made a message , recorded in a music cassette tapes condemning the governance of Mohammed Reza Shah in controlling and manipulating the system

of the Iranian living . The tapes were smuggled in Iran in few counts , was duplicated into many copies and then spreaded all around the country . Then , the revolution in the country begins

It was January 16 of the year 1979 when the Shas escaped from the crumbling people of his country . The new elected Prime Minister Shapour Bakhtiar , together with the councils of the Supreme Army , tried to overcome the chaos in the country . But the current situation then could not be resolved anymore . It 's been stiff and the anger of people cannot be controlled and manipulated

Fifteen days after the Shah had left Iran , the maker of the message in the cassette tape that has led to the escape of the Shah , replaced the presence of the Shah in the country . The execution of the hundreds of people who supports the Shah has started . Prime Minister Bakhtiar went into hiding in Paris , and the blood started to shed in every place of the Iran

Days by days , there were killings of people . Weeks by weeks , there were massive demonstrations of protests . Months by months , there were national crimes , hostage takings , battles against Iraq , bombings re-elections of prime minister and president . a lot of criminalities

There was also an establishment of a new constitution because Ayatollah Khomeini has been the country 's Valy-e-Faqih (supreme spiritual leader He followed his Islamic principle , but not all of the people liked the other rules enlisted in he constitution . One of it is the dress code for women , leading Iranians into protest demonstrations

It is said to be the third largest and biggest revolution in Iran . The first is the France , and the second is he Bolshevik revolution . The revolution has transformed the nation from monarchial governance into an Islamic Republic when Ayatollah Khomeini implemented the new constitution of his Islamic principles , and that is the reason why it is also called as an Islamic Revolution
