Political corruption is considered a disease , it said to be incurable no definite action plan to prevent it . Corruption is everywhere , from a small town to a booming big city . But what is corruption ? Corruption is defined as the misuse of public officials of their political power for their own personal favors , in terms of money , fame , and popularity

Public officials were elected for them to protect the citizens . They should be the trustees of the commonweal , and not political bandits who were seeking for their private

Those trustees abandon their obligation and abuse the power given to them in ways to advance their personal interests rather than those of the public

There are several causes for political corruption . Money is the root of all evil , as the saying goes , and this goes a fact for corruption . Money revolves around corruption and this why a lot of government officials engage in such activity . For an instance , a congressman would initiate a project for his city , has something to do with the improvement of medical health , he would need an additional supply of vaccines for children . Bidding is required for a certain project to succeed , and he would contact a certain supplier ' he knows personally and would deal under the table . A big amount of percentage would go directly into his pocket without reflecting on the budget report he would submit to a higher official . Both have been beneficial to the public official and the supplier , but who have been fooled ? The citizens are the main affected factor of this ugly activity . Another essential aspect is power . If you are in a high government position and you use that to gain favors from businessmen or other transactions in to turn the favor into your way

Money and Power are two essential causes on why political corruption is rampant . The effect is all on the people , the citizens of the country One 's economy wouldn 't progress if corruption couldn 't be avoided . Yes there are a lot of multi billion companies who are interested to invest their money on a poor country , because of cheap labor . But if the officials of that country couldn 't contain themselves and becomes greedy , people will be affected . There wouldn 't be investment , no jobs will be created , and their economy wouldn 't progress

People will suffer more from this kind of behavior . People will have the hindrance to join , participate and communicate with the projects of certain officials if they know that official is corrupt . Who would want to deal business with him , if you know in the end you can 't trust that person if you know that in spite of being straightforward you will be fooled in the end . You will lose everything
