carbon foot print
Carbon Footprint Student 's Name Course Instructor 29 /04 /2010 Carbon Footprint A carbon footprint is the by an event , product or an organization . Carbon footprint refers to the amount of greenhouse gases which is produced generally which is measured in carbon dioxide . Carbon footprint of a nation , individual or organization can be measured by assessing the green house gases (Brewer 2008 . Carbon foot print can be reduced when the strategies such as consumption strategy , better process and product management technological development , carbon capture among others are taken

p Carbon foot print is a major human challenge to the natural environment and biodiversity at large . The green house gases emission in the atmosphere which increases with each and every day increases the volume of the green house gases in the atmosphere thereby threatening the existence of life in this planet . The future of human race in this planet according to Roza (2009 ) depends on how efficiently we reduce green house gases emissions . Necessary measures to check , control and contain such occurrence should be put in place . Some of the measure necessary for the mitigation of the emission include quantification of carbon footprint , analysis and reduction by enhancing energy efficiency mitigating carbon emissions and compensating the for the remaining green house gases emission by investing in carbon offsets in to become carbon neutral
One way of preventing green house gases emission is by developing alternative projects such as wind energy , solar energy , and reforestation...
