Caramel is wonderful movie about the struggle of women in the contemporary world . Layale being the woman who struggled to have the love of her life even if it was a wrong love because the man was married , Nisrine who never stopped the struggle to be the best wife she can be for her future husband even though she lost her virginity causing her to undergo an operation to restore it , Rima who struggled to fight her lesbian instincts even though she was however obviously attracted to a

beautiful woman , Rose who struggled to take care of her older sister , Lily , even if it meant giving up and sacrificing her own happiness , and Jamale who continued to struggle the signs of her aging even if she knew it was unstoppable . With these , the movie portrayed women as strong , independent beings with powerful beliefs in life but at the same time , who have that soft place in their heart that longs for love , for completion of their being , for self satisfaction , and for happiness

The characters did not fail to give a visualization of how women should act in the modern world - with passion , with strong character , and with self-control . Indeed , the movie showed that women are all the same Women can be tough when the need arises . Women can control themselves Women can be independent .
