Personal emotions and feeling may not always result in ethical decisions . Religion on the other hand can sensitize a person towards becoming ethically more conscious . However certain people who are not all that religious may in fact be very ethical in their decision-making . Law can help and support maintenance of ethical standards . Law may however be very difficult to bring about ethical changes . Certain societies in the world may favour higher ethical standards , whereas others may favour corrupt practises in businesses .
