Apprenticeship has provided students , and professionals alike , with benefits that are specifically associated with the acquisition of experience and practical knowledge . First , the first-hand experience allowed me to apply the theories and lessons I earned through classroom discussions and textbooks . Through this , I am able to see for myself the input and output of every action I make in the real world . I strongly believe that this is important because it complements and gives life to theories that would otherwise remain as mere statements if not applied to the problems in the real world . Second , the ability to determine what could happen in the workplace gave me a taste of what to expect when I immerse in the said field as a professional and not as a learner .
