Plastic bags are the common bags that are used in the shopping malls or department stores . It is true that those are easy to use and does not break easily . However , the use of plastic bags has some negative environmental effects . Those bags are difficult to decompose , so more use of plastic bags will contribute to more plastic bags in the garbage and more plastic bags in the

world . So banning the use of plastic bags will contribute to lessen the environmental suffering of the world

To prove that banning of the use of plastic bags to the world , a research about the effects of the use of plastic bags in the environment can be done . The findings from the research are a good source of information in to prove the advocate of discouraging the use of plastic bag . The research can include the process of making the plastic bags , the components of the plastic bags , and how those components used for making plastic bags can affect the environment . The research can also include the effects of banning the use of plastic bags to other countries that have implemented the campaign

Of course , there are some people that will oppose the banning of the use of plastic bags . Example of a possible argument from the opposition is that when the use of plastic bags is banned the next possible bags that will be used are bags . The opposition will argue that the use of bags is more expensive and will need more trees . This kind of statement can be answered through studies . For example the argument of the Chinese woman regarding this statement is that the use of bags may be expensive but it can help the environment (Xinhua , 2008 . For s need more trees argument , it can be answered by using recycled for the bags

In to encourage people to ban the use of plastic bags , the people should be well informed regarding the pros and cons . More people will follow the campaign if more information will be given to then to make them understand the effects of plastic bags on the environment . Also those who support the campaign can influence others to follow if others will see on their actions that they are practicing what they are supporting
