The world of art has been around since the dawn of man 's consciousness The beginning of this field saw the rise of several important events in man 's history - the moment they started drawing on their cave walls , the moment they realized the value of colors , and created different mediums for their arts , and much , much more . No one can ever deny the existence of art in conjunction with human and the environment . They have been together in different

times of needs and wants , and the evidences for these are scribbled all around the walls of the earth

In essence , art is a social structure . Since it is created by man , who in turn is a social being , it readily becomes a social construct and a part of society , something that no one can remove . And being part of society deals with a lot of elements . First , art must be a reflection of the current status of man . Although it may not always be the case , it is common to see a trademark of a period having the same kind of artwork something that would best describe the nation during that era . Another job of art is to serve a function for the betterment of society . Such as propaganda art , or effigies and other works that are used in rallies .
