I am definitely against fixed marriages . It just meaning of what marriage really is . It goes beyond what God has wanted to happen in a marriage , where in both parties involved really love each other with a pure love . Marriage comes into existence when a man and a woman , foreswearing all others , through an act of irrevocable personal consent freely give themselves to one another , and not just force by other parties . It is based on a definitive decision , the CONSENT . The consent of both persons involved and not the will of their parents or anybody else 's

At the heart of the act establishing marriage , there is a free , self- determining choice by the man and woman , through which they give themselves a new and lasting identity . The woman should have freely said yes to the marriage that has been offered by the one she loves . She should not be governed by the decisions of her parents because it will be her whose going to live with the man and no her parents . Saying I do ' to someone whom you do not love just brings destruction to you marriage and to your kids in the future . It will only affect the children that they will see their parents not really founded with the pure love that marriage has required

Unity is one of the essential properties of marriage . Unity , in the aspect of a same purpose for marrying , that they love each other is the cause of their marriage . If their will be no unity in the beginning because they are just being paired by the authoritative power of both their parents will just create a rust in the marriage that could somehow lead to infidelity . That could lead to one of them having another man or woman have a sexual relationship outside their marriage . The most important consequence or moral dimension of unity is fidelity , which consists of mutual loyalty in actions and intentions in the fulfillment of marriage contract . The basic component of fidelity is love because it motivates , fulfills , unifies , and dignifies the whole reality of matrimony
