Introduction

Since the early years of the world history , female abuse has been one of the major s of legal and moral concern but only at the end of the 20th century has this problem grown enough to be covered by a whole set of national programs . It should be noted , that the battered women 's movement dates back to the beginning of the 1970s , when Erin Pizzey made the issue public , and when the first public

shelter for battered women was established in England (Special Series on Domestic Violence 13 Since that time , the number of similar shelters has significantly increased moreover , national domestic violence hotlines and national laws have been designed to support women in their right for governmental protection against abuse . The growing number of shelters and laws however , suggests that the government is far from resolving the issue of female abuse . Obviously , the government does not do enough to guarantee legal and physical protection and support to battered women . In this context , and given the relevance of the problem , the government should wisely combine financial support programs with profound analytical research , to ensure that legal and social service professionals are aware of the causes and consequences of domestic violence and can readily address the legal , physical , and moral challenges which battered women face trying to free themselves from violence

It would be at least incorrect and too subjective to say that government does not...
