Globalization of Very Communicable Diseases like Swine Flu and Others

Globalization has mutated , from economics , governments now in recent

observations , included diseases . In times of pre-high technology travel the spread of

disease is not as fast as today 's travel time . Before , it needs natural carriers as wind

birds , insects , flotsams and others in to reach places . Not today airlines and other

high speed carriers now serve first class transportations for deadly germs as today 's

swine flu . Believe to originate from Mexico , cases of these

deadly germs now reach the

United States , Hong Kong , Canada , Spain , Britain , Germany , Latin America and God

knows where else

Airlines have been determined as the major fast carrier of this disease . Passengers

may be infected yet not show any symptoms of contagion until he has reach another

region and spread the disease . No amount of pre-departure check-up would prevent the

spread of deadly diseases since the symptoms at pre-departure time not yet manifest until

the passenger has reach its destination

The obvious solution to this problem is to quarantine passengers for a period of

days required for the virus to manifest symptoms of disease in hosts so that these

passengers may be prevented to travel . This will meet strong objections from travelers

especially businessmen whose time schedules are very tight . The obvious is still the

reality . The regional spread of the disease can only be prevented if no carrier can get into

planes or trains to take these viruses somewhere...
