as it produces certain problems such as food crisis and health problems Medium and long term solutions are being explored by the national government not only to arrest the deterioration of the people 's socio-economic conditions but more importantly to initiate a path of growth and development . Improper waste disposal , which is the problem of each city in the country , creates negative effects on the life of human beings . Examples of these negative effects are : serious floods during rainy season , ground water pollution , methane and other noxious gases generation , breeding and harboring of rodents , flies , harmful pests and microorganisms .
