Airlines need to be established globally in to serve and satisfy international travellers . An Airline alliance is an agreement formed between group of airline networks in to provide global aviation services and overall profitable to both passengers and airline networks . This mutual understanding between airline networks and

co-existence of airlines improve the performance of the service and thus , ensuring great customer service . In terms of smaller airlines though the degree of alliance may be relatively smaller , but the benefits received would remain considerably higher . Examples of Major alliances include Star alliance , SkyTeam and Oneworld . In the recent years , the number of airlines forming alliances have increased , which implies the alliances are highly beneficial . As the size of the alliance network increases , the services and the degree of quality also increases

REASON FOR FORMING ALLIANCES

It would be very difficult for an individual airline to form a global network on its own because of the existing regulations and limitations in different countries . There are several reasons that imply the importance of airline alliances and the consequences without their existence .
