A few years ago , I participated in a volunteer service . Through this activity I got a chance to persuade a group of people . As part of my volunteer service , I visited an institution meant for homeless junior high school children . I found these children very unhappy and pessimistic in their attitudes . They seemed to have no urge for a better life . They lacked any kind of motivation and were they should do with themselves . I thought that they are seriously in need of a guiding force so that they can lead

their lives in a more constructive way

Since these children lacked any motivation or inclination to improve their conditions , just giving them a lecture would have hardly delivered any positive results . So , I planned that instead of talking to them or directing them to do something productive , it would be better to involve them in certain activities . As a result we did a lot of productive activities together . I engaged them in activities like painting planting trees , cleaning the neighboring areas , carpentry etc . I was happy to find them very enthusiastic about all that they were doing Without even realizing , these children learnt a lesson on how to be an important part of the society and feel contented with one 's life .
