Part of the daily lives of people is the constant struggle to threats that surrounds this enigmatic world . Parts of world 's reality are diseases that have the capacity to destroy people 's existence . People continue to be puzzled on some things that even until today , they are still finding answers . currently facing a long term battle against an infection called HIV /AIDS . This infection caused over 22 million people to die since its symptoms were first reported . The figure of fatality due to HIV infection is high and still growing

To worsen the matter , it was stated that over 42 million people are living with HIV /AIDS , and 74 percent of these infected people live in sub-Saharan Africa ( HYPERLINK "http /www .until .org /statistics .shtml http /www .until .org /statistics .shtml . As estimated in present time more than 19 million women are infected with HIV /AIDS and when the year 2010 arrives , in countries Ethiopia , Nigeria , China , India , and Russia as having the world 's 40 percent population will produce 50 to 70 million of infected people . The world situation will worsen and if the spread will not be stopped , it might annihilate human existence . This is how serious this battle against HIV infection is

Another scary thing to swallow is the reality that an estimated 14 ,000 of people is newly infected everyday and the number will keep on climbing . Ninety five percent (95 ) of infections are seen as coming from developing and third world countries . In the United States alone , one million people are currently living with the HIV infection and tallied 40 ,000 new infections every year . In the listed new HIV infections in the United States every year , 70 percent are on men and 30 percent are on women . By race , 54 percent of the new infections in the United States occur among African Americans , and 64 percent of the new infections in women occur in African American women and 75 percent of the new infections in women are heterosexually transmitted . This is a sad reality that the American people are facing today
