2 . Violence on Television is a Problem

Television programs defend the ever present violence in their story lines by saying that the violence is necessary in to show the viewers the repercussions of the crime . The problem with this defense is that it also educates people who are mentally imbalanced or prone to violent suggestions about how to execute violence in the real world . It is this capability of the television to educate the viewers regarding the wrong or right of violence that has turned the violence as portrayed on television into a problem

3 . Smoking Should be Banned

I am a person who supports the move to ban smoking in all public and private places because of the medical facts that inform us about the dire effects of second hand smoke . Although the smokers argue that they have the right to smoke in properly designated places , this does not remove the health concerns for both the welfare of the smoker and non smoker . It may be their right to smoke , but it also the right of the public to protect themselves from being placed in situations that put them directly in harms way . Second hand smoke permeates the air , it cannot be avoided just by creating designated smoking areas

4 . America is Falling Apart

As far back as I can remember , America has been the epitome of a successful nation . Inhabited by civic minded citizens , the country has continued to build and develop its image as a country that always has its problems under control . But lately , the country seems to be divided regarding many issues . Although the country may factionalize regarding certain political , social , and human rights issues , one thing remains constant . That is that the country will never fall apart because the citizens come together and support the country once the need for it arises . Partisan politics have the capability to divide the nation and make it seem like the leadership of the land is falling apart . But the truth is that the citizens rally as one once called upon to do so for worthy causes
