Write a personal statement that addresses the questions below Leadership is defined as a way that a person influences others to accomplish an objective by directing an individual or a group of people in an effort to accomplish such objective . There is an old saying that goes , leaders are born , not made ' implying that leadership qualities cannot be learned however , I don 't believe that to be true . Any person , whether rich or poor , educated or uneducated , can be a leader but not all leaders are created equally . Technically , anyone can be a

br leader , but that does not mean that everyone will be an effective leader
A leader is bound by his or her principles and ethics in life these are the things that help a leader to carry out the process of leadership Have you ever worked where a manager or supervisor bossed you around just because he or she had the authority to do so ? This is not an example of a leader . Just because someone is in an authoritative position , such as a manager or a supervisor , does not mean that he or she is a leader
A leader is someone who people want to follow because they see that this person has achievable goals and a good perspective regarding the welfare of everyone in general . It is also important that the leader is able to communicate and understand the needs of the administration in to help make improvements when needed . I believe that in for a leader to lead , he or she must be able incorporate his or her personal beliefs along with the others ' belief so that together , they can find a common ground . It helps motivate the members of the group if the leader is able to hear their concern and if the leader is able to coordinate with them . Leaders are respected in because they respect others
In for them to gain respect , leaders must be unbiased and ethical . Leaders ' success is dependent on their members , so it is important that they convey the vision and the mission in a clear and concise , nonbiased way . Although a leader can execute out the things that he wants to do , it is important that he is able to delegate tasks to keep things in . He would have things in ly manner that would make functioning easier to him and his members
In my firsthand experience , I know what it is like to be a leader . I trained an entire department on configuring routers . I specifically set out the standards and explained all the procedures and processes needed for the task . I had the knowledge and professional background for providing the training
The training itself was easy because everything was in place and I organized the training to be well equipped with the needed information and materials that will would utilized by the trainees as the training started . I assigned different members on their specific role in the training and divided the work so that things would be in . After the training , the department looked at me as a leader because of the knowledge and professionalism I had in carrying out the training
Leadership helped out in this situation . If I wasn 't such a responsible leader , the training sessions would have been chaotic and unorganized But because I had the presence of mind , I was able to control the situation and set out the roles needed to be done by the team . It is important that leaders show their team members good leadership by being organized , firm , and committed
To be a good leader , one does need to look good to others . He carries his roles even without the recognition of fame or fortune in it . He knows his job and how to deal with his members efficiently . He has set out standards that are favorable , and in making decisions , he provides justifiable measures . He sets goals and envisions the future with the changes accompanied by it . A good leader is proficient in training and directing his members . It 's important that he is able to motivate others in their job he should be able to accept his weaknesses and learn not to be judgmental when others are criticizing . He should always instead use criticism as a tool for improvement and be able to utilize it in the same way for his team members . It does not make a leader weak when he makes mistakes instead , it is a challenge for him to reassess things and make changes things . A leader is also a follower in to set a good example , he himself must abide with the rules and regulations . He encourages his members to reach their goals , creating a bond that leads to a more productive team
My previous leadership experiences serve as a foundation of future leadership positions for me . It has helped in enhancing my skills and guiding me in making decisions clearly . The leadership background that I have has given me an extensive overview of what to how to handle unexpected circumstances . This knowledge will help me carry out things more efficiently and without duress . With this leadership background , it is be easier to identify and set out goals for the team . It will help me establish different programs that would aid team members and make productive learning experiences for them
With these programs in place , it would help motivate learners to learn and improve , and in turn , someday these team members will be leaders themselves . I can initiate team building that would help in improvement of their skills and make use of their talents in different aspects . It would encourage their participation in regards to the program that would not only benefit me but them as well
It is important that a leader visualizes the future , so it is important that leaders are aware of what is going on and the things that influence his members ' work accordingly . Leaders should be open and willing for change they should be able to provide the necessary methods and solutions to problems that are encountered by their group . The most important thing is that a leader does not only delegate the roles of his members but has a role also in showing his members the things that need to be done . A good leader is someone who sees the goodness in others and makes use of it to create a unity within his members as a tool for progress ...
