A database is one of the most important tools that an organization has It allows confidential information , strategy , technique or process to be used by the organization in keeping with its goal and objectives . A database should be unique for each type of organization . A database facilitates the means to be able to allow the company to function normally by fixing its production line , s and deliveries , storage of sensitive information , internal communication , receipt of feedback and many more . A database supports an organization 's objectives in various ways . For example , a

company that is engaged in lending activities would have its database where it could keep the name of its clients , the amount of loan , the collateral given , the computation of the interest , the date when the loan should be repaid and other vital information . This database should be used by that lending company only and cannot be made available for public use . The database would contain information that is only of importance to the company to allow it to control its organization in a way that would allow it to achieve profitable business .
