Hunger is a problem that is alien to most residents of the first world countries because agricultural , meat , and fishery resources are abundant and seemingly endless in supply . The harsh reality is that hunger does not choose which country to strike . Although , it seems to have a preference for the third world at present . People are constantly dying of hunger in the third world due to war , famine , and other natural disasters that affect the food supply of their region . These poverty and calamity stricken people do not have

any means to purchase their life necessities as well because of the non existent economy of their country . It is bad enough that they are financially short , but having them wanting in nutrition is the worst situation they can be placed in These people are weak and sick , as such , they are unable to work and therefore even more pitiful than ever before

Our country is one that has an excess supply of everything one may think of . As responsible and caring citizens of the world , we must find a way to do our part in sharing the good graces of our land with those who need it the most . Hunger is a world wide problem that should not be taken lightly . Everyone must do their part , no matter how small , in an effort to help eradicate the problem of world wide hunger . Our country has always been known as humanitarians who think nothing of sending aid to people who need it the most . Unfortunately , our politicians have been waylaid into paying attention to other matters without realizing that solving world hunger is probably the start to finding solutions to the rest of the problems that beleaguer the world . After all , hunger affects the adults as well as the children . But adults need to be kept even more well fed than the children because they are the people who are expected to move their country forward and help end the hunger in their own nations . So they should have their share , if not more of the food aid as well . By keeping the adults of the hungry nations well-fed and healthy we give the youth of their land a better shot at a hunger free future as well...
