Jesus and Buddha

There are several factors which can easily identify the complete similarity of Jesus and Buddha . In a very generalized sense , both of them drastically involved living life to its simplest manners to attaint the optimum level of happiness in life . Moreover , their perspectives in teaching the wide scope of existence and its meaning have been the foremost knowledge they have imparted to their followers

Although Buddha and Jesus have similar notions when it comes to their teachings , there are also some differences in a larger scope of understanding

other attributes in world existence . For example , the aspect of time in the teachings of Buddha do not actually perceive it as a `time ' as what modern science denotes it . Time in general is based on moment movements which are aligned with the concepts of past , present and the future (Hsiongcai , 2004 . On the other hand , Jesus signified that time can be understood as a single entity which will always start and end in God 's will

When it comes to perceiving one 's self , Jesus taught of his followers that the self is not merely a unit of life but also a complete reflection of god 's appearance . Therefore , there will always be that hidden goodness in each and every one of the believers even if most of them commits sins . In the teachings of Buddha , the `self ' is the ultimate separateness of an individual from other entities fueled by egotism which induces envy and hatred

In the aspect of the soul , Buddha believed that there 's no permanent self and that everything is in complete transient status while Jesus taught that the soul was imparted by the Holy Spirit to contain the temple of God . These aspects can also be perceived on how each of them signified afterlife . Jesus taught his followers that there is salvation after death when all the sinners have repented while Buddha affirms that the afterlife is a complete cycle of transformation .
