Arab-Israeli conflict

The year1947 marked the adoption of the proposal by the UN General Assembly . That happened in November of that year . After this adoption the conflict escalated further with the Palestinian Arabs starting to attack the Jewish convoys and other communities in the Palestine . They even went ahead to block Jerusalem . This resulted in the Zionists destroying several Palestinian villages . There was utterance that Al Husseini informed the British that he would apply the very solution applied to the Jewish problem as Hitler did

Just after the declaration of the

Israel state in May 14 , 1948 , the Arab troops from different countries invaded the area . Firstly they made advances to conquer some parts of the territory allotted to the Jews . At that moment they had better weaponry than the Jews . Moreover they had a larger number of troops . This however changed after the declaration of the first cease-fire . The Zionists use this opportunity to organize themselves . They trained a new army , the Israeli Defense Force . At this time they had better organization and were more intelligent and hence they consequently won their Independence War

After the ceasefire agreements in 1949 , Israel was controlling about 78 of the area between the Mediterranean Sea and River Jordan . Jordan had conquered Judea and Samaria currently referred to as West Bank . At this time East Jerusalem and Egypt were controlling the Gaza Strip Jerusalem was now divided .
