At the dawn of the 20th century the United States was involved in a bloody conflict

against tyranny across the ocean . The Army Air Service War Eagle Poster not only were

a recruiting tool - they were a means of communicating to all who saw them a single

message . That message was that America is stronger nation , a better nation , and will be

victorious . The posters succeeded in being two things simultaneously They were

recruiting tools for troop build up and they instilled a

sense of patriotism to everyone who
