The most valuable resource that any organization has is its people without discrimination as to gender , whether male or female

Chief Executive Officers occupy a position of high regard in any organization . As such , they should at all times initiate the move to be responsible and to be role models to their subordinates

In this given situation , the CEO failed to carry on the moral responsibility that is expected of him in taking care of the welfare of his people . The CEO should not only be concerned of the economic or profit

making aspect of his company but he should also ensure that his people are protected with regards to their safety , health and the whole being of his workers

As to the first issue of leaving the workers to decide on whether or not to render unsupervised overtime work in the dangerous parts of the plant speaks of lack of moral consciousness . This act of governance is highly reprehensible . Officers of any organization , most especially CEO 's are expected to watch out for the welfare of their people . A CEO should not leave the matter of deciding on whether or not to render labor beyond working hours in hopes of taking out the burden of being held responsible for any wrong that may arise thereto .
