Work and family are the dominant roles employed women have to contend with in today 's corporate world . The women are continuously being depressed by the issue of how to balance between jobs and family roles The conflict is normally experienced when the pressures arising from both roles are incompatible . In essence , the woman 's participation in any one of the two would extremely make it hard for her

to be involved in the other . Although conflict between work and families have been documented by various researchers as involving both women and men , women have been said experience more of such conflicts due to the fact they are involved more with family responsibilities like child care . The work versus family roles are quite often been said to be intrinsically imbalanced between the genders (Clancy Tata , 2005 . Men have been systematically cushion against family roles by being considered the providers , women on the other hand have been heavily burdened by the family obligations which at times intrudes even on their work . This would analyze the roles a woman in the family that may influence her productivity at work
