The role of women in the Islam society has become a contentious issue This has been engineered by some verses of the Quran which depict women as being equal to men in the eyes of Allah . Whereas other verses command men to regard women as part of their property and thus value women as half of what they value women . Taliban , Islam women were exploited , prohibited from working , they could not leave houses without male escorts and were not even allowed to seek medical attention from male physicians . In addition to that , the women were compelled to cover themselves from the head to the feet so as not to attract male attention . This has created a lot of interest about the role of women I n the Islamic society .
