In such situations , men were the ones who played most of the important roles in the community such as rulership . Aside from this , the presence of men in the family

is considered a blessing to the entire Chinese community . This Chinese legacy of patriarchal basis has mainly affected the values that women in the said country recognized
Through the years the basis of the virtues of Chinese people were changed from dynasty to dynasty . Concerning this , it could be noticed that the roles of women in the community also varied and developed gradually up until the present situation of Chinese women . Within the paragraphs that follow , the history behind Chinese women virtues would be discussed along with the major dynasties in China that mainly affected their beliefs and their culture as people of the `sleeping giant
The History of the Chinese Women and their Community
Most of the years of the Chinese history relied on the existence of the Imperial era . The beginning of the said era was led by the Qin dynasty Historians referred to it as the mark of the Chinese unification era during the 221BC . The most important legacy that the said dynasty left for the Chinese government was the implication of the centralized and bureaucratic stats of government in national rulership . Hoai Do , a Chinese author commented this way regarding the Qin dynasty The Chinese Women page 2
The Qin Dynasty under the leadership of Qin Shihuang took over the Zhous (221- 206 B .C . Qin Shihuang was known to be the first ruler to unify China and link up all parts of the walls into today 's Great Wall He was also the first to abolish the feudal system , standardize the written language and establish a system of weights and measures . The discovery of the legendary underground terracotta warrior in Xian was one of Qin Shihuang 's well known artifacts '1
During this rulership , all of the activities of the Chinese people especially with regards a central government controlled their belief and their family culture in a forced way . Through the said control , plots against the government by the people who would like changes in the rulership arrangement were also massively ceased 2 . Through the confiscation of the weapons that may be used for rebellious acts , the civil movements were controlled well . Nobody was allowed to say anything against the government unless they would like to be dreadfully punished by the law3 . It is also a noticeable culture during this time of rulership that the idealisms of Confucianism were not widely accepted as the government forbids the said belief .4
