The best way to mix these would be to be truthful to the donors , and hope that the truthfulness would result in keeping at least some of the money fairly

My decision would be to tell the donors about the extra money , and give them the choice of whether to donate it for another cause in the agency or take it back and use it for another charity of their choice

2 . The political , natural , and social forces that need to be considered in this situation are many . One natural force might be

the volunteers and clients that may be on a waiting list . They will have to understand why it is in the agency 's best interests legally and in terms of later donations to fully inform the donors of the situation . It may be that social forces , such as publicity , will make the donors likely to not take back their money . Reneging on a donation to a charity rarely makes a donor look good unless there is some wrongdoing going on , and in this case there would not be . Political forces could come into play if any donors have political connections . It may be better for them to give the money and reap the benefits through good publicity generated by the charity . The political and social forces may be enough to realize the plan of getting to keep at least some of the extra money

3 . My civil obligation for the good of the organization is to risk losing the extra money in to keep the good name and reputation of my charity .
