More and more people use Wikipedia because it is written in different languages . Truly , the site is a great source of information . However the danger lies whether such information is accurate and reliable . For my personal knowledge , I find Wikipedia very helpful but I do not use it as reference to cite my research works . Because of its open-content structure , articles could be vulnerable to vandalism or misinterpretation by those contributors . I would feel more secure and comfortable citing Britannica or Encarta , which are generally considered well-written and precise because the are masters in their own fields composed of historians , doctors , philosophers , known authors scientists , artists , and many other professionals . Some of the articles in Wikipedia are sometimes copied from other sources . The structure is open for hackers and unscrupulous people who simply want to sabotage the content of the site that may result to false or misleading information for the users .
