With my qualifications and background , I believe that I can contribute to the teaching field in the position of a Teacher Assistant , at the same time using this employment to learn new skills that will come in good stead during my future career . With a foreign background experience in tutoring , interest in psychology , and personal character I feel that I am able to demonstrate my talents and abilities as Teacher Assistant

As an international student from Mexico , I can promote diversity in our university (college , sharing

my culture with students and learning new things from them . I believe that this process of mutual discovery is the core of cultural development and a great asset of educational process in the US where people of different cultures come together to learn more about life in their home countries . With a background different from that of other applicants , I can hope to make a difference in the teaching profession

My previous experience prepared me for the Teacher Assistant position and helped me realize where my interests lie . Back in Mexico , I worked as an English tutor helping children to catch up with their English classes . Finding this job extremely enjoyable , I was thrilled to learn that there is an opportunity to return to teaching as I find that this occupation prepares one to deal with many important challenges and broaden one 's communication skills . I realize that the position may be the first stepping stone to a career where I will be engaged in interacting with other people , cooperating with them , and helping them learn new things

As a responsible , organized individual , I think I am suited to this job and my sociable , open character allows me to maintain good working relationships with many people . In addition , my interest in Psychology makes teaching very attractive as it is a new opportunity to learn more about people and their differing personalities . I am confident that employed as Teacher Assistant , I can contribute to the teaching process at the University , also making an effort to learn new things essential for my future career
