Why is Sex Fun

Why is Sex Fun

Sex , it is a universal phenomenon that attracts great interest and pleasure , but why ? Has anyone really stopped to consider why it is that sex has such great appeal and tends to be the source of so much pleasure ? There can be no doubt that sex is a great source of pleasure because of the lengths to which animals , not just humans , but animals in general , go to engage in sexual activity . Perhaps one question it would seem obvious to ask it , Why is sex so much fun ' While

that might appear to be an obvious question , perhaps things are not as simple as they seem . For example , are people actually attracted to sex because it brings so much pleasure or are there other less obvious reasons and factors behind the animal sex drive ? Author Jared Diamond addresses the question "Why is Sex Fun " in his book by the same name . After reading his book , it becomes obvious that there is more to (sex ) than meets the eye

Diamond 's scenario view it , but from the perspective I 've noticed in dogs , they would be more likely to wonder why humans don 't engage in sex more often

It is certainly true that the human approach to sex is dramatically different from that of other mammals . Yes , humans have sex when the female is not fertile and they engage in sex behind closed doors while other mammals engage openly and the female is less inclined to copulate when not in heat . Still , from what I 've seen in other mammals , the sex drive is no less strong and demanding . It appears that Mr . Diamond is attempting to express how much humans can gain if they were to take a less narrow , less altruistic view of sex "Altruism " refers to selfishness , instinctive and cooperative behavior that contributes to the survival of all . Our approach of sex certainly contributes to the survival of all members of the species , but our purpose for being altruistic is most certainly as selfish as can be imagined . Generally , in matters of sex , the primary goal...
