I realize that with my past knowledge and experience I am ready to bring to any business expertise and wisdom gained in numerous projects over the course of my career . However , I still feel gaps in my general understanding of business issues that can be filled effectively with a

Throughout my career in the shipping industry as business development manager , I have tried to leverage my creativity and communication skills to take the business to a new , higher level in a series of successive efforts . I have learned team building and coaching as my work involved a number of projects where I had to cooperate with other employees to deliver innovations that often proved to make a revolution in the industry . Putting heart and effort into creating new opportunities for the company and community , I have always striven to generate something that will make a lasting impact on the environment in which I am operating

To continue this effort , I need to rise to a new height in both theoretical and practical knowledge . My experience qualifies me for high-level strategic managerial positions however , I believe I should make this side-step and create a solid foundation for my further professional development . This is why I decided to pursue an MBA as a way to make my expertise match my practical experience

I am also encouraged by the fact that the business school will put me in contact with a highly diverse group of people who will undoubtedly contribute to developing my world outlook . Whatever our experience is it is inevitably limited by the scope of our professional activities and life experiences , while in the MBA community I will get a chance to come into contact with people from every corner of the world who bring their different experiences to shape the program . In my life , exposure to new people always resulted in the appearance of new ideas that in my mind are a product of our knowledge about the world and our own creativity . I believe myself to have plenty of creativity to really make a difference in any area . Now I am ready to get a glimpse of diverse environments and perspectives to spur my further development

On my part , I am ready to bring my own original perspective to the program . As someone coming from Egypt , I have a thorough understanding of what is going on in that part of the world that is most typically underrepresented in MBA programs despite what I believe to be strong potential for future growth . Besides , coming from an ancient and original culture , I will be more than happy to provide my fellow students with insights into its traditions and culturally determined communication patterns .
