EEOC operates under the guidelines which provides for what employers should give their employees in terms of working conditions , pay and other welfare issues . Employers who break these guidelines often find themselves on the leeward side of the law this will be tackled on later in this . The formation of EEOC back in 1965 was as a result of numerous complaints about workers getting harassed , discriminated on basis of their color , place of origin , sex , religion and even disabilities

This will limit itself on the disability aspect of discrimination as this is an area that has raised great concern in the recent days Disability has posed a major challenge on human kind with researcher 's working round the chock to come up with a sound argument as to why people and especially workers are succumbing to mental related diss which ultimately leads to disabilities . However , unreliable sources are putting forth unsupported arguments that work-related stress and family related stress are the main causes of mental disabilities . Whatever the cause of these disabilities , there is dire need for a system of controls to be enacted to protect workers who are mentally and physically disabled
