Introduction

A whistleblower is an individual within or outside an organization who reports of any misconduct either presently done or done in the past . The misconducts may either be financial or severe social issues

Whistleblowers are thus

grouped as internal and external depending on whether they are in the organization or not and their aim is usually to improve on the governance if the organization . Whistle blowing promotes a healthy competition between competitors who many use unfair means to compete their competitors

It also gives early warning over actions that can damage the integrity of an organization , it serves as an excellent tool to fight corruption

Whistleblowers law

The law stipulates enough protection for the whistleblower and even his /her job , but reporting any employer may not go on well for the employee because the employer can fire the employee and even launch court cases which the employee may not meet their financial obligations against the organizations

The law protects employees against employers not willing to follow the whistleblower laws and aim at harassing them instead . Employers are as well refrained from engaging in any activities made unlawful by whistleblower laws . A worker is also protected against harassment and gives them the power to lawsuits
