Where does authority come from according to Thomas Hobbes?

In absolute authority , government has its power but limited only or if not , divided into different branches . The authority of the government are connected to one another such as the adjudication , legislation taxation , enforcement , and war-making but in the absence of one of these , the government will be less effective that can cause paralysis of governance . Therefore , absolute authority is not the answer for the condition of war ' within people because the government could not generate without the other branches . Hobbes conceptualized those forms and elements of authority because of the societal breakdown .
