It is being said that the reason why World War II started was because of the Treaty of Versailles between 27 victorious powers of Europe and Asia , which was signed on June 1919 and greatly reduced the land and power of Germany , as dictated by the leaders of four countries of the Allied Nations (1 ) David Lloyd George , the prime minister of Great Britain (2 ) Georges Clemenceau , premier of France (3 ) Woodrow Wilson President of the United States of America

and (4 ) Vittorio Orlando , the premier of Italy . Because of this , Alsace-Lorraine had to be returned and control of the coal mines of Saar region had to be passed on to France for a taken from the hands of the Germans , and Rhine River was demilitarized of German troops , which was reduced to as little as 100 ,000 volunteer men with no heavy artillery , tanks , or war plane ' Last but not the least , German lost its overseas territories in Africa , Asia , and the Pacific Ocean over to France , Britain , and Japan while Germany 's Brest-Litovsk Treaty with Russia was revoked . For all these , Germany broke into a vengeance after Adolf Hitler gained in power and domination in 1933 . As of 1939 , all that the Treaty of Versailles achieved were taken for naught
