Western history was mainly meant to revolutionize most of the western countries in all aspects such as Economical , Social and political aspects . Most of the countries and small states in west were still under the rule of some colonial power and therefore they saw a need to come up with their own kingdom so that they would choose their own leaders and king . In economic aspect , they wanted to establish wealth which was quite enough for the establishment of

a wealthy nation which could support all the financial status of their country . The social aspect of revolutionization of most of the western countries were meant to create equality between different sexes since it 's appeared that men felt that they were superior over women and women were mostly undermined

Significance of development in science and mercantilism in Europe in 16th and 17th century

Mercantilism basically entails economic nationalism which usually aims at coming up with powerful and a wealthy nation . According to Adam Smith it 's a form of political economy which is meant to increase the riches of the country by discouraging important of products and services and else encouraging exportation of there product to other countries . During the period between 16th-17th centuries , the system which was adopted dominated the economic thoughts of Western European and their policies These policies which were developed were meant to increase the trade in the region by bringing forth gold and silver to the country . Mercantile also played a big role in serving various interests of merchants and company 's producers because their activities were valued greatly by the state and therefore they were protected and encouraged to continue with their activities

They also contributed to build up of colonies away from Europe , European commerce growth was facilitated , and breadth of tree was increased and also metallic monetary use was increased such as gold and silver

During this period , there were a lot of military conflicts which took place between various nations which were quite frequent . Armies and Navies were permanent forces and acted as professional forces that are full time . In each government , their economic objectives was to demand the use of the hard currency which was meant to give support to the militaries which would help them to avoid attack from other countries and to expand its own territories
