My Reflections for the Third Week 's Discussion

At what moment in class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening

Majority of the discussions this week pertained to funding and economics , fields that I am not good at . I do not know what it is in these two subject matters that I am not interested into . Although there have been very good examples to relate

with , I was not still able to appreciate these subject matters that much . I think I should look for reasons to be motivated in this , because it will surely help in making me a well-rounded person , being able to talk about different things , although I am not an expert on these two s that I really am not good at

What action that took place in class this week did you find most affirming or helpful

I somewhat liked how Kim performed in our class this week . She emanated a lot of energy to stir up interest in the subject matter , which that time was about the life support needed for 25-week old babies . Yes , she was successful in putting the class into a battle of knowledge during the discussion , but then I noticed that she was not giving her own point of view for other students to raise points , maybe against or for whatever she mentioned to be her opinion

Still , I appreciated a lot the discussion initiated by Kim . Although she played only as a devil 's advocate , points she was raising challenged me to look at a into different perspectives . This would be healthy in such a way that it helps people think critically when there are a lot of people exchanging and throwing ideas with each other . There is a tendency someone to strengthen his views , or the worst case for a debater is to flip down his beliefs and own stand regarding the discussed . The discussion challenged me to be more critical , putting considerations to what other people are thinking , and at the same time sticking to what I stand for

What action that took place this week did you find most puzzling or confusing ? What would have helped to make it less puzzling or confusing

I think it is primarily the responsibility of MD graduates to be health care providers . I am somewhat disappointed to what is happening in our National Health Care , because there are many people graduating as MD but they are not practicing what they are entitled into . Being experts in this field would be appreciable if there are many people helped to sustain life and avoid threats to life
