What are the most significant similarities and differences between the Chinese American and Japanese American [cultural] experiences on the basis of the level of assimilation

Both Chinese and Japanese Americans have managed to thrive and merge themselves with the numerous technological and cultural districts of the USA . However , it appears that the degree of assimilation achieved

by Japanese Americans is greater than that of the Chinese Americans . A proof of this event is seen in the preservation of the ethnic enclaves of both groups in the American land where it is seen that Chinatowns are undeniably more preserved as opposed to Little Tokyos . Reports show that there are more Chinatowns situated in the USA than Japanese enclaves and that the former were able to maintain a distinct set of social organization (tsu , hui kan and tongs . This social organization is still being used in the Chinatowns of Chinese Americans . Japanese Americans on the other hand , grew to become more and more acculturated to the American way of living , thereby making them less likely to recognize their Japanese roots . Each generation of Japanese American migrant is defined by the following terms 'issei ' or the first-generation migrants 'nisei ' or the children of the issei 'sansei ' or the grandchildren of the original migrants the 'yonsei ' or the fourth generation of Japanese Americans...
