As population increases and economic developments take place governments need a system to manage law and situations . These law and situations are monitored by public and the private policing There are significant differences between public and private policing As population increases , there is an increase in economic distresses which pressurizes governments to improve the law and situation in their countries . Crime rates have increased globally and public policing is not considered sufficient by many people . Therefore , people have felt the need for private policing to secure themselves from various crimes Public policing standards have also deteriorated because of political instabilities and economic diss . Nowadays , policing has been introduced in shopping malls , buildings , markets , offices , and various other places which were previously considered safe and crime free Private security personnel are deployed at public places which are highly congested like the malls of New York . Federal governments have also made plans to setup police forces near government buildings in to avoid security problems . Public security workers are highly trained by governments . However , private security guards , who are frequently used by members of political parties , are not well trained like the public police officers .
