Personal Excessive Use of Water

I am aware that personally , there has been an excessive use of water on my part . Some of these are the following

Third , I always take long showers whatever happens it would take me approximately an hour and a half in the bathroom (Mono Lake Committee 2007 , n .p

Fourth , whenever I clean the driveway /garage , I use the hose instead of the broom (Mono Lake Committee , 2007 , n .p

Fifth , I water the lawn even during noontime or early afternoon when temperatures are highest instead of the other way around , say early morning when the temperatures are exceedingly low (Mono Lake Committee 2007 , n .p

Sixth , I typically lower the lawn mower blade to at least an inch and a half so that I don 't need to mow very often (Mono Lake Committee , 2007 n .p . I forgot that even though doing so may save my time , it wastes a lot of water because a lower cut prevents the roots of the grass to grow deeper ' and thus cannot hold soil moisture that well as compared with a higher cut lawn (Mono Lake Committee , 2007 , n .p

Last but not least , I also have this tendency to fill our lawn with fertilizers so as to make it appear really healthy however , experts say that the more fertilizer placed the more its need for water as well (Mono Lake Committee , 2007 , n .p

Changes in Habits that I Can Adopt to Use Water Efficiently

There are several things that I can change , habits that I can alter and adopt to be able to use water efficiently . Some of these are the following

First of all , with the habit that I carry out when it comes to car cleaning , I will start practicing using a pail that 's filled with soapy water so that after cleaning the car , the hose will only be used during rinsing to conserve water (Earth 911 , 2008 , n .p

Second , instead of leaving the faucet and water running , I will practice using a glass in brushing my teeth I will never let the water continuously running from now on (Earth 911 , 2008 , n .p

Third , I will decrease my shower time and get use to it (Earth 911 2008 , n .p

Fourth , even if it is more inconvenient to use a broom in cleaning the driveway...
